About "Broadening the Arts in Dover" - This first annual event is a collaboration of the arts in Kent County to provide opportunities to emerging and professional artists, as well as appreciators. Featured activities are exhibits, demonstrations, educators in the arts, musical entertainment, storytelling, culinary delights, vendors, Kidzone and more. The one day event is filled with all aspects of art, from visual to literary to performing. Look for published writers and artists along with professional musicians and dancers. Mesmerizing storytellers will be set up inside vintage airplanes telling their tales. Educators and professionals will be available to provide emerging artists the chance to succeed through their knowledge and experience. |

"American Dream" call to entry - There will be a juried Call to Entry for visual, literary and performing arts which depict a theme of the "American Dream". All mediums will be accepted. The age categories are: Youth (ages up to 17 yrs) and Adult. Entry cost is free for youth and $10 for adults for up to three pieces (fee covers awards). Deadline to enter is May 31. Kidzone - The Kidzone will have hands on art projects at the Imagination Station which focuses on utilizing reused materials and encouraging interaction with the natural environment. There will also be the "Kid's Art Fair", giving selected young artists, ages 6 - 14 yrs the opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork. There will be games and theatre in the round, along with local dancers teaching dance. Storytellers will be set up in vintage airplanes. |  |

| We are seeking groups and individuals to participate in many capacities, to include colleges and universities that serve the arts, galleries and museums, theatres, dance and art studios, musical performers, visual and literary artisits, acting ensembles, culinary artists and sponsors.
