The Base Library houses a
selection of more than 25,000 best sellers, fiction
and non-fiction books, video cassettes and foreign
language audiocassettes. It also features an entire
section of books and video cassettes on Total
Quality Management.
Special collections support the Transition Assistance
Program and Professional Military Education. The
Juvenile Room has 4,000 books for pre-schoolers
to elementary ages, as well as a computer with
a variety of CD programs available for children.
Study tables are located throughout the library.

The reference area includes a wide
variety of materials including technical resources,
Dun & Bradstreet, Value Line and index services
such as Air University Library Index to Military
Periodicals. A computerized catalog system provides
up-to-date information on item availability and
an interlibrary loan system provides books and
magazine articles not owned by the Dover AFB Library.
Other computerized offerings are Facts on File,
Proquest and GALE Database services, which provide
indexes, abstracts and full text articles from
periodicals, and Future Test, an interactive test
training and examination preparation system. A
coin-operated copier is available for customer
use. |
