Equipment Checkout
This facility, located in Building 124, has a wide
variety of recreational, athletic and lawn and garden
equipment available for checkout. Included are utility
trailers, pressure washers, rug shampooers, campers,
boats and motors, camping sets, fishing rods and log
splitters. Fees are charged at daily, weekly and weekend
rates. Propane tank refilling is also available. Click

We also offer information for local parks and campgrounds
including our FamCamp located on the south end of the
base near the Skeet Range.

Eligibility
The Center is open to all base personnel, active
duty military, base employees, dependents &
guests. All patrons must be at least 18 years
of age and have a valid ID card. |

Equipment Check-out and Turn-in Policies
- Customers signing for receipt of equipment will
be responsible for condition of listed equipment.
- Inspect the condition of items before they are
checked out. If items are not serviceable, notify
the recreation assistant.
- Items being turned in will be cleaned and in a
serviceable condition.
- Sand and dirt will be removed from tents, inside
and out
and they will be dry.
- Tent stakes will be clean and free of mud and
dirt. Poles will be assembled and also clean of
mud, dirt and sand.
- Reels will be free of sand and dirt. Rinse with
fresh water.
- Customers are reaponsible to clean rental equipment
prior to turn in. Any items returned dirty will be
assessed an additional cleaning fee from $5 to $25,
depending on the size and condition of the equipment.
- Customers will be assessed the estimated cost of
repair to include labor for damaged items.
- Customer will replace items lost with a new item.
- Boats, canoes or campers will not be issued during
the last hour of operation. A late fee of $25 will
be assessed in addition to the original fee if above
equipment is returned after 4 p.m.
- Allow enough time for check out and return.
Organizational Check-Out
Squadrons or organizations that are planning a picnic,
special outing, commander's call or retirement ceremonies
may check out select items. Free issue items are limited
to field equipment/games, tables and chairs. Water
coolers and ice chests are half price.

Blue Streak Bike Shop
Our bike shop is located at Equipment Checkout
and offers complete bicycle repair and maintenance
services as well as a full assortment of retail
services from parts & components to apparel,
energy foods and sunglasses. |

Eagles Nest Picnic Area
The picnic area features four covered pavilions with
barbeque grills, tables, a playground, and volleyball
and horseshoe areas. Pavilion areas may be reserved;
otherwise, they are available on a first-come, first-serve
basis. Reservation use take priority. There is no fee
to use the picnic area.
FamCamp
- October - March $15 per night (non-peak season)*
- April - September $18 per night (peak season)*

- Dump Station $3
The FamCamp offers 10 sites, 7 with full hookups (water,
sewer, 20, 30 and 50amp electric), and 3 with water
and electricity only. Customers using sites without
sewer hookup may use the on-site dump station at no
additional charge. We also have a grassy area for tent
camping. A newly constructed community pavilion is also
available for individual or group events while you're
camping. Restroom facilities, including flush toilets
and sinks are available across the street in the Eagles
Nest Park area. All sites are rented on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
Outdoor Adventures Program
If you're looking for exciting outdoor activities,
then you should check out our Outdoor Adventure
Program. We are an organized outfitter that allows
you to sit back, relax, and let us do all the
planning; we provide trip leadership, information,
equipment and encouragement. We offer new and
exciting outdoor activities which promote physical
fitness, confidence and peer interaction. Activities
include mountain and road cycling, hiking, backpacking,
kayaking and white water rafting. We offer all
levels of activities from the beginner to the
advanced enthusiast, whether it's road cycling
100 miles in the Blue Ridge Mountains or just
strolling along a quiet forest trail, we are sure
to have a trip for you.

Eagle's Talon Paintball Field
The Eagle's Talon Paintball Field, located on
the south side of the base near the AMC Museum.
Complete rental packages are available for $20
and customers are welcome to use their own equipment
as well. The field fee is $5 and all customers
must purchase Outdoor Recreation supplied paintballs
and CO2. Outdoor Recreation offers a full service
paintball pro shop complete with name brand markers,
paintballs and apparel.
We offer special Paintball Packages for a $165
fee which includes play for up to 10, all equipment,
CO2 and one case of paintballs (2,000 paintballs).
Additional may be added at $15 each. These packages
are perfect for birthday parties, squadron functions
and special occasions.

Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Private Functions
Sunday - Friday 9 a.m. - Noon & 1 - 4 p.m.
(*Hours are subject to change due to customer
participation and weather conditions. If winds
are in excess of 20 mph, the field cannot be open.)
