The mission of the Dover AFB Veterinary Clinic is to provide the best care for the Military Working Dogs and Mascots assigned to Dover AFB. We also provide quality veterinary care to all active duty, dependants, and retirees of the United States military. We offer base zoonotic control, limited sick call, vaccinations and client education. We do not have the facilities of staff for surgeries, radiographs or emergency situations. Pets are seen by appointment only.

Owners are responsible for their pet while at the clinic. This includes control of cleaning up after them. All cats and dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier to be allowed in the facility. Also, owners must be able to restrain their own animals during appointments. If you are not sure how to restrain your animal properly, just ask one of the staff to show you how.

All animals that reside on base must be registered at the Veterinary Clinic even if you choose to use a clinic off base. For the safety of your children, all children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the facility. Please make arrangements for your children before you come to your appointment.

If you find yourself in an emergency situation with your animal go to the Delmarva Animal Emergency Center (302) 647-0850. If you would like any other information about our services stop by the clinic or call 677-5252.
